Draw a fully annotated roof plan of your new design showing ridges, valleys, gutters, downpipes, full bores, rainwater heads, roofing and waterproofing materials & pitches, and (for flat roofs) screed falls with maximum & minimum screed thicknesses. In the case of trusses, show a cut away in one section of the roof with truss & purlin positions, sizes and spacing. Show catchment areas for each downpipe and correlating downpipe & gutter sizes (show your calculations).

Your brief is to submit 3-4 A4 pages in an A3 (Landscape) format, capturing your sketches that where completed in class today. The first A4 is a representation of a ‘book-cover’ with your selected book name and sketches. The second page is to illustrate your critical analysis of the UKZN Architecture school you study within. This analysis is to include your perceived positive and shortfall aspects of the school (Including sketches), and your proposed solution and vision for the school if given a budget to instill a change (Including sketches).
